RODEO THURSDAY
*HOUSTON RODEO UPDATE*
Change of plans! This year (for the first time), the Houston Rodeo will be ending its rodeo events one day early - meaning Sunday will be concert-only with no rodeo competitions or activities.
We’re moving our optional group rodeo outing to Thursday, 3/19 instead. If you decide to come in early, it’s the perfect chance to see all the classic events - from a Calf Scramble and Mutton Bustin’ to Fried Snickers and Country Music - in full HTX Rodeo glory. Carnival should be open most of the day, Rodeo Stadium doors open at 6pm, Events begin around 6:30pm, and the concert should start by 8:30pm.

What is the dress code?
For the wedding: Formal, fun, and comfortable enough for a night of dancing. No one will be upset if you outshine the grooms. That's just ✨show business✨
For Friday night's welcome drinks, we are leaning into rodeo weekend with an "elevated western" cocktail event. We'll probably figure out our own outfits last minute, but think Cowboy Carter tour, Yellowstone, or even some scenes from Taylor Swift's 2014 Wonderland shoot.
Are kids allowed to join?
Unfortunately, this will be a kids-free weekend.
Anything else we need to know?
Not at the moment, but we'll be sure to update FAQ's as they come in - Don't hesitate to reach out to the grooms with any questions (but this is also our first, and last, wedding so apologies if we don't know the answer)!
